Aria Handmade Sculpture

Aria takes its name from the moment in an opera when one voice rises alone and the whole room holds its breath. We imagined a length of heavy cloth caught mid-fall, as if a curtain had just swept open on that moment and been stilled forever.

Shaped in steel and resin, Aria rises along the wall in deep, gathered folds. Some roll slowly, others pinch and twist, and the edges ripple softly away from the wall like the hem of a gown. Light moves across every crease, so the piece seems to breathe as the day goes by.
